Under the General Regulations Act 2007, employers must evaluate all VDU/DSE (Visual Display Unit/Display Screen Equipment) workstations with particular reference to eyesight, physical difficulties, and mental stress. Appropriate steps must be taken to control any hazards identified. The employer must carry out an analysis of individual workstations where employees are required to operate VDU/DSE workstations for one hour or more in their normal working day.

4Front can provide a competent person with the necessary skills, training, and experience to complete this analysis. It is not sufficient to allow employees to use software packages to access their own workstation, the employer must be actively engaged in physically completing a risk assessment/analysis of each individual's workstations. The results of any workstation analysis must be communicated to the employee and a written record kept of the analysis.
